Building Strength, Routine, and Alignment: A Wellness Day in San Diego Before Sound Bath Season

Friday was another productive and aligned day, one of those days where I could feel how everything I’m building, from my full-time work to my sound bath business in San Diego, is starting to flow together.

Midday Movement: Pilates for Strength + Sound Healing Support

On my lunch break, I made it back to Honor Pilates for their 12:00 PM class, and I’m officially hooked.

It’s such a fun and effective 40-minute workout. I originally booked through ClassPass, but after chatting with the front desk team, I found out about Active&Fit through my work and signed up for an unlimited membership.

I’m really excited to make this part of my daily routine.

As a sound healer, people don’t always realize how physical the work can be. Carrying crystal bowls, setting up for events, and moving between locations across San Diego takes strength, especially when there is no elevator and you are heading up multiple floors.

Building my core and upper body strength is something I’m prioritizing so I can continue offering private sound baths and group sessions in San Diego with ease.

Evening Reset: Walking by the Bay + Spiritual Study

After work, I took a short walk by the bay, one of my favorite ways to decompress and regulate my nervous system.

I’m currently in a spiritual book club, and this month we are reading Ask and It Is Given by Esther Hicks and Jerry Hicks. I’ve been listening to it on Spotify, and it has been such a grounding and inspiring way to end my work days.

There is something really powerful about combining movement, reflection, and intention setting, especially when you’re building a purpose-driven business like sound healing.

Movement + Data: Staying Consistent

My workplace is starting a step challenge, which honestly came at the perfect time.

I’m recommitting to my 10,000 steps a day, and I love tracking everything with my Fitbit and Ultrahuman Ring.

It’s always interesting to see the data behind:

  • Activity levels

  • Sleep patterns

  • And even how my body responds on days I facilitate sound baths

There is such a strong connection between movement, recovery, and how we show up to hold space for others.

Friday Night Ritual: Contrast Therapy + Breathwork

Friday nights have quickly become my favorite wellness ritual at Breathe Degrees.

They host a “healthy happy hour” from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, and it has been such a fun way to socialize in a space that aligns with my lifestyle.

Their setup includes:

  • Sauna at 175°F

  • Cold plunge at 42°F

  • Jacuzzi at 102°F

My routine usually looks like:

  • 15–20 minutes in the sauna

  • 4 minutes in the cold plunge

  • 4 minutes in the jacuzzi

  • Repeat for about an hour

Contrast therapy has truly become my happy place. The endorphins, the reset, the clarity after, it’s unmatched.

Breathwork + Community Connection

One of the highlights is the breathwork class led by Tyler. It’s powerful, energizing, and deeply regulating.

After class, everyone moves into contrast therapy together, and it creates such a natural and welcoming way to connect with people.

As someone who doesn’t drink, finding spaces like this in San Diego has been so meaningful. It’s a reminder that community and connection don’t have to revolve around alcohol.

Aufguss Sauna Ceremony Experience

I also experienced one of the most unique wellness practices recently, an Aufguss sauna ceremony led by Joanne @jojoberrywellness

She is trained in Norway, and the level of intention she brings is incredible.

The experience includes:

  • Scented snowballs infused with essential oils

  • Heat intensification through water poured on sauna coals

  • Rhythmic music paired with each round

  • Guided airflow using fans and towels

It is intense, immersive, and honestly euphoric.

Experiences like this remind me how many different pathways there are to healing, regulation, and presence.

Tarot Reflection: Weekend Energy

Before ending the night, I pulled cards for the weekend:

  • 4 of Wands

  • 8 of Swords

  • 8 of Wands

The message felt really clear.

The 4 of Wands reflects community, connection, and celebration. It mirrors what I’m building through my sound bath offerings in San Diego and the ripple effect of that work.

The 8 of Swords is a reminder that sometimes I can get stuck in my own thoughts, even when everything around me is showing growth and opportunity.

And the 8 of Wands feels like fast-moving energy, aligned opportunities, and momentum.

To me, it felt like a shift:
Taking the “swords” (overthinking) and transmuting them into “wands” (action, passion, movement).

Integration + Alignment

Days like today are a reminder that this journey is not just about sound baths.

It’s about:

  • Building strength to sustain the work

  • Creating routines that support my nervous system

  • Finding aligned community in San Diego

  • And continuing to expand into my purpose

All of it feeds into how I show up for my clients, whether it’s a private sound bath in San Diego, a group session, or a community event.
