Following My Intuition Through the Perfect Saturday in San Diego
Nothing is better than a Saturday fun day in San Diego when the world is my oyster.
I had nothing on the agenda, which meant I could create whatever kind of day I wanted. A few friends invited me to the beach, but it was supposed to be 84 degrees and it was the last weekend before kids went back to school. I could already picture the crowds, the traffic, and the parking situation, and I just wasn’t feeling it.
Lately, I’ve been trying to pay closer attention to my intuition and my Human Design. I’m a Manifesting Generator with sacral authority, which, for me, means noticing how my body responds when an opportunity presents itself.
Does it feel expansive and exciting, or does something inside me immediately say no?
Sometimes I say yes because I’m excited in the moment, and then, as the plans get closer, I realize I’ve changed my mind. But when something feels like a no from the beginning, it usually stays a no.
That was part of why I left my schedule so open. I wanted the freedom to see what came up and follow whatever felt right.
A Slow Saturday Morning
The day started pretty well. I woke up around 7, although I stayed in bed until about 8 because technically waking up and actually getting up are 2 very different things.
I had a slow morning, started getting ready, and decided to go to the grand reopening of Lavande Vitality House in Bird Rock (La Jolla).
I had walked past the space many times and knew two practitioners who offered services there. I had actually purchased a ticket to attend a Reiki event there the year before, but the universe had other plans.
The day before that event, I had taken my car in for an oil change. When I got into my car to drive to the studio for the Reiki event, the oil light on my car came on. It turned out that something had been cracked during the oil change the day before, my car was leaking oil, and it wasn’t safe to drive.
Obviously, I was disappointed that I couldn’t go. But I’m always saying that the universe works in my highest and greatest good. Sometimes a temporary pause simply opens the door for another opportunity.
This grand reopening felt like that opportunity.
Inside Lavande’s Dreamy New Wellness Space
Lavande recently remodeled, and oh my gosh, it was beautiful.
You could immediately tell how much time, energy, and intention had gone into the space. It felt calm, welcoming, and almost like walking into a dreamland.
There was pink furniture, soft details, and a little café where you could order matcha, coffee, pastries, and small bites.
I ordered the California iced matcha latte with almond milk and added maple cold foam. It was soooo good.
They were also giving away fresh coconuts. Someone opened the coconut right in front of you, and they had been chilled, so you got to drink fresh, cold coconut water straight from the shell. On an 84-degree day, even by the water, it was exactly what I needed.
They had raffles, vendors, and different wellness activations throughout the space. People were selling jewelry and artwork, and visitors could receive tarot, astrology , and past-life readings.
The studio also has a large community room where they host group experiences, including sound baths, Reiki, and full moon events. There are 3 private practitioner rooms for one-on-one sessions.
And holy cow, I found the Reiki room of my dreams.
The Rose Quartz Reiki Room of My Dreams
This room looked like something AI would create if you asked it to design the most magical Reiki room possible.
There was rose quartz crystal covering the walls and ceiling. It was pink, sparkly, dreamy, and completely fabulous.
I didn’t know I needed a rose quartz Reiki room until that exact moment, but it is now officially going on my vision board. I need one ASAP.
They also had a back patio with clothing vendors and even a sauna and shower. The entire space was lovely, and I can’t wait to go back for one of their events.
I’ll share a link to Lavande website and Instagram because that will be the best place to see their latest events and purchase tickets for upcoming offerings.

Asking the Universe for a Sign
On the drive there, I did what I often do when I first get into my car.
I placed energetic protection around myself and my vehicle, poured Reiki into the drive, and visualized Reiki symbols over myself, my car, and the other cars on the road for the highest and greatest good.
Then I said:
“Universe, today I am open to my highest possible outcome. I am open to making amazing new connections or unexpectedly reconnecting with people I already know. Surprise me. I am open to receiving, and I believe in endless possibilities. To affirm that I am on the right path and in my highest alignment, show me 444.”
Traffic was heavy heading toward Pacific Beach, La Jolla, and Bird Rock, so my GPS rerouted me through a neighborhood I had never seen before.
The homes were huge, beautiful, and perched on a hill with views of the Pacific Ocean. The sky was completely clear. There wasn’t a cloud or patch of fog anywhere.
As I turned onto a random street, I noticed a family having a garage sale.
Then I looked at the house next door.
The address was 444.
It hadn’t even been 10 minutes since I asked for the sign.
I usually see a lot of repeating number patterns, especially 222 and 888, but that morning I decided to switch it up and ask specifically for 444.
And there it was, almost immediately.
I knew it was going to be a special day.
Reconnecting With Someone From a Sound Bath
Last year, my friend Justyna opened a yoga and wellness studio in North Park called Embodied Truth and Power.
Justyna and I met while completing our certified sound healer training with Kenzie at The Sound Space inside Sojourn Healing Collective in South Park. We connected quickly, and I’ve always loved her energy.
Her studio offered yoga and sound baths, and there was also a boxing gym in the back. She graciously allowed me to add some of my own sound bath offerings to the calendar.
Sadly, the studio closed its doors a few months ago, but I had some really beautiful experiences there.
One of them was a Valentine’s Day event I hosted in February called The Frequency of Love. It focused on self-love and compassion.
Since it happened during Super Bowl weekend, I jokingly called it the “Super” Bowls because I was using crystal sound bowls instead of watching the Super Bowl football game. Honestly, it made perfect sense to me.
The class sold out, with 10 people attending. During the sound bath, I also offered optional hands-on Reiki focused around the heart chakra.
When I placed my hands near one attendee, I suddenly saw neon pink hearts floating everywhere. They were different colors, shapes, and sizes, and the image was incredibly vivid.
I sometimes see colors or symbols or hear song lyrics when I offer Reiki, but this experience felt especially profound.
After class, I told her what I had seen.
She looked shocked and said, “Are you serious? I put pink hearts of healing protection around myself today.”
I couldn’t believe it.
When the Universe Reconnects You
Back to this Saturday.
I was standing in line ordering my matcha when a woman walked up beside me.
She looked at me and said, “I know you.”
I looked at her and realized that I knew her too.
She remembered that I offered sound healing and said she had attended one of my events. I first mentioned my current offerings at The Meditation Nook and Vibrant Life Yoga, but she said, “No, it was at Embodied Truth and Power.”
Then it clicked.
“Oh my gosh. You’re the one I saw the neon pink hearts around.”
She couldn’t believe that I remembered, but it had been such a profound experience that there was no way I could forget it.
We reconnected, and she invited me to sit with her and her friends in the beautiful lounge area at Lavande.
Everything about the moment felt aligned.
I learned that she is a therapist and a Reiki Master. We also discovered that we were both from the Central Coast. She is originally from Lompoc, and I grew up in Orcutt, California, only about 30 minutes away.
It felt like we were supposed to meet again.
We exchanged contact information, and when I saw her 805 phone number, I laughed. She said she had noticed the 805 number on the event sign-in sheet and had already planned to figure out who it belonged to.
Clearly, the universe was determined to reconnect us in multiple ways.
New Connections and Marketing Ideas
Her energy was beautiful, and she gave me several suggestions related to marketing.
I’ve been working on improving the marketing for Savvy Staci because, as much as I love creating experiences, marketing has never felt like my strongest suit.
I took a marketing class through Mesa College this past spring, and I recently hired Feedbird to create Instagram content and videos. We’ve been working through several rounds of revisions, and I’m hopeful that we can get everything aligned with my brand.
She also referred me to a brand designer named Danielle and told me about Temply, an app she uses for content creation.
I have so much content, so if you work in marketing or design and are looking for a contract opportunity, my inbox is open.
You can email me at info@savvystaci.com with your rates, examples of your work, and your vision. I’m happy to explore what we might create together through intentional marketing that still feels authentic to me and my business.
Sadly, I had to cut the conversation a little short because I had signed up for a free sound bath at Source Sanctuary in Del Mar.
And, to be completely honest, I was running late.
Handmade Jewelry and an Evil Eye
Before I left Lavande, I bought a pair of beautiful freshwater pearl earrings.
The pearls weren’t traditional white. They had this iridescent purple-brown tone, and each earring had an evil eye detail.
I really liked the artist and spent some time talking with her. She is also a Reiki Master and creates beautiful copper chakra pieces.
One of her designs was a copper headpiece that could also be worn as a necklace. The stones were wrapped in copper and positioned to align with the chakras when worn against the body.
I didn’t buy the chakra headpiece that day, but I may have to go back for it eventually. I did leave with the earrings, though, and I love them.
A Small Sound Bath at Source Sanctuary
I arrived at Source Sanctuary at exactly 12:30, which was also exactly when the sound bath started.
Technically, I was on time. Barely, but it still counts.
Since I had never visited the studio before, I brought my extra-thick yoga mat and a blanket. I didn’t know what props they would provide, but I was pleasantly surprised.
They had pillows, blankets, bolsters, and thick yoga beds available, so I didn’t need to bring anything.
There were only 8 people in the room, and I love smaller sound baths. There tends to be less noise, more space, and a more intimate energy.
The facilitator, Alejandro, did a beautiful job leading the session.
Source Sanctuary had only opened in February, and you could tell they had put a lot of care and intention into the space. I grabbed one of their brochures before leaving because they offer several experiences I would love to try.
I will definitely be going back.
Searching for the Frozen Greek Yogurt of My Dreams
After the sound bath, I decided to finally try a place I’d been thinking about for a while.
In the summer of 2024, my best friend Megan and I traveled through Greece, Italy, Malta, and Paris.
While we were in Greece, we visited Santorini. It was beautiful, but it was also unbelievably hot, crowded, and chaotic. Instagram versus reality was happening in real time.
The streets were packed, and although I loved the island, I wish we’d had more time to explore quieter parts of it.
At one point, Megan and I were absolutely dying from the heat. We found a little shop selling frozen Greek yogurt and went inside for relief.
It was the best frozen Greek yogurt I had ever tasted. To be fair, it was also the first frozen Greek yogurt I had ever tasted, but the point still stands.
We have both been daydreaming about it ever since.
A few frozen Greek yogurt shops have recently opened in San Diego, and since I was already in Del Mar, I decided to stop at Go Greek Yogurt.
They offered several flavors, including honey, tart, mocha, banana, chocolate, and strawberry. Unfortunately, they didn’t offer samples, so I had to take a risk.
I chose the tart frozen yogurt and topped it with fresh strawberries, pistachios, and a little honey.
It was good.
The one in Santorini still hit differently, but maybe frozen yogurt always tastes better when you’re overheated on a Greek island.
Listening to My Energy Instead of Forcing the Plan
I had also booked a breathwork and sound bath event through The Phoenix’s NewForm app.
But I had already attended a breathwork and sound bath the night before, and I had just finished another sound bath that afternoon.
I was feeling a little sound-bathed out.
I don’t know whether that’s officially possible, especially coming from me, but I could tell that I needed to do something else.
My car needed an oil change, I had donations sitting in my trunk, and my car desperately needed to be washed and vacuumed.
Instead of more self-care, I decided it was best to do what I actually needed to get done.
An Unexpectedly Productive Afternoon
I drove to Valvoline for a drive-through oil change.
Then, while driving home, I passed a donation box operated by a nonprofit near me. I finally dropped off the items that had been living in my trunk for far too long.
After that, I decided it was officially time to deal with my car.
It had not been washed or vacuumed in a very long time, so I went through the car wash and used the vacuums.
My car was looking great, and I felt refreshed, rejuvenated, and strangely accomplished.
The entire day had been a mix of spiritual connections, wellness experiences, frozen yogurt, errands, and following whatever felt right.
I was marching to the beat of my own drum and going wherever the wind took me.
Sunset, 10k Steps, and a Backward Drone Show
I ended the evening by meeting up with a friend for a walk around Mission Bay, one of my favorite ways to reach my goal of 10,000 steps a day.
We watched the sunset and even caught the SeaWorld drone show from across the water.
I will say that the best place to watch the SeaWorld drone show is probably SeaWorld because, from where we were standing, everything appeared backward.
There were a few animals we couldn’t identify at all.
The shark and the orca whale were the easiest to recognize.
Even backward, it was still a fun way to end the evening.
Creating a Day That Actually Felt Like Mine
This Saturday reminded me why I love leaving space in my schedule.
I could have forced myself to go to the beach because that was what other people were doing. I could have attended every event I originally signed up for because I felt obligated to stick with the plan.
Instead, I gave myself permission to respond to the day as it unfolded.
I drank an incredible matcha, toured a dreamlike wellness studio, received a sign I had specifically asked the universe to show me, reconnected with someone from a meaningful Reiki experience, attended a beautiful sound bath, found frozen Greek yogurt that almost transported me back to Santorini, took care of my car, and ended the night walking beside the water.
The world really did feel like my oyster.
And for once, I didn’t need a perfectly organized itinerary to make the most of it.
I just needed to listen.
